Privacy Policy
The short version. We collect what you type into our application form so we can review it and contact you about testing PropOS. We don't sell your information or use it for ads. You can ask us to see, fix or delete it any time using the form at the bottom of this page.
Who we are
PropOS ("PropOS," "we," "us") is an early-stage company building maintenance software for rental properties. We're currently running a test program in South Florida. This policy covers this website and the tester application form.
What we collect
What you give us when you apply:
- Your name, email address and, if you choose, your phone number
- Where you live or own property: county, ZIP code and city
- Your role (landlord, property manager or tenant) and your answers about your properties or home, how you handle repairs, and what's hard about renting
- Anything you write in the free-text boxes, and your preferred language
What we collect automatically when you submit the form: your IP address, your browser type, and the date and time. We keep these to stop spam and to keep a record that you agreed to these terms. Our servers also keep basic technical logs.
What we don't collect. This site doesn't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics tools. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads. You can read Google's privacy policy to learn how they handle it.
Please don't include sensitive details like Social Security numbers, bank information or health information in the free-text boxes.
How we use it
- To review your application and decide who joins the test program
- To contact you about the test by email, and by phone call or text only if you checked the optional box for that
- To understand what landlords, property managers and tenants need, so we build the right product
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse
- To follow the law and respond to lawful requests
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who run our systems for us, like Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage) and, if you agreed to calls or texts, the messaging provider we use to reach you. They can use it only to provide their services to us.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect the safety, rights or property of people or PropOS.
- A buyer or successor if PropOS is ever merged, acquired or sells its assets. This policy would still apply to your information.
Where it's stored and how we protect it
Your information is stored on Amazon Web Services servers in the United States. Access is limited to the PropOS team. We take reasonable steps to protect it, but no website or database is perfectly secure.
How long we keep it
We keep your application for as long as the test program runs and up to 24 months after it ends, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Records of your consent may be kept longer when the law requires it.
Your choices
- Emails: every email we send has a way to unsubscribe.
- Texts: reply STOP to any text to stop getting them.
- See, fix or delete your information: use the form below. We'll confirm the request came from you and reply within 30 days.
We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live.
Do Not Track
We don't track you across other websites, so there's nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. Our site works the same either way.
Children
PropOS is for adults. You must be 18 or older to apply, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor sent us information, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell applicants by email before it takes effect.
